Kielikurssin kuvaus

The Intensive Italian Language Course consists of 4 Italian lessons a day, 20 lessons a week. Each lesson lasts for 45 minutes.

The classes are held from Monday to Friday in groups of no more than 14 students, led by qualified teachers, who are passionate about their work. They are made up of people from all over the world and from different age groups.

The lessons are principally based on spoken communication, but also deal with the more formal aspects of the language (lexis/vocabulary and grammar). Lots of time is dedicated to activities that encourage dialogue and discussion about various topics, from art and literature, to modern city culture.

Apart from studying the language, there is still lots of time for culture, sport and fun! The school organizes loads of extracurricular activities in the afternoons and evenings, allowing students to discover the city, visit museums and exhibitions and enjoy daily life!

RECOMMENDED FOR: those students who want to either start or go on studying Italian through an intensive program that still leaves plenty of time to discover the artistic and historic marvels of the territory and also to have some fun! This course is designed for those who need to communicate effectively in everyday situations.

SCHEDULE:
Morning or afternoon schedule will depend on the student's level, which will be checked on the first day of class.

Koulun sijainti

The school is located in Turin's historic center, in a fully restored and spacious location. This new location, in a pedestrian-only area, will allow students to fully experience the city, whether they are strolling under the arcades or enjoying a coffee at one of the numerous old cafés overlooking Piazza San Carlo.
The school is near the Porta Nuova train station, making it conveniently accessible from all around the city, primarily by the metro. The premises are on the third floor of a historic building with two elevators for convenient access.

The school collaborates with trustful host families. The word "family" should not be taken too literally, as a family can be traditional with children, a single parent or a childless couple who take in students because they enjoy the company.

Breakfast usually consists of coffee or tea and bread, butter and marmalade. Students are not allowed to use the kitchen or do the laundry by themselves (the use of the washing-machine is not included, but arrangements may be made between the landlord and the student).

Students have their meals (breakfast and dinner) together with the family but they should be aware that Italian eating habits can be rather different from their own. Breakfast usually consists of coffee or tea and bread, butter and marmelade. Dinner is a complete meal served normally around 8 pm. Students are not allowed to use the kitchen or do the laundry by themselves (the use of the washing-machine is not included, but arrangements may be made between the landlord and the student).

The shared apartments are often between 30 and 50 minutes away from the school by public transport. The student has his/her private room, but shares bathroom and kitchen with other students or with the owner.
