Kielikurssin kuvaus
This course is a combination of a standard group course (15 units weekly) in the morning and one-to-one lessons (5 units weekly) in the afternoon.
Participants can make progresses in grammar, language fluency and comprehension in the groupc course and attend thir one-to-one lessons tailored to their needs and objectives. Individual lessons can be on grammar, conversation, writing, Business Italian, specific and technical languages, literature and arguments according to their interests.
The program gives preference to the communicative function of the language and supply with lexicon and structure instruments to deal with everyday situations and social events with efficacy and fluidity since the early beginning.
Lessons include grammar and exercises. Other units are dedicated to the use of the language through reading newspaper and magazine articles, description of images, texts reworking, reading exercises and pronunciation. An important part is hearing songs or native speaking dialogues, watching videos to develop the comprehension ability. Conversation on different subjects as well as role plays are widely used to facilitate the acquisition of the typical speech situation phraseology.
To satisfy different styles of learning and to meet the needs of all who participate, the materials we use are extremely varied: books (up to B2 level), newspaper and magazine articles, videos, film, advertisements, news programmes, and a variety of audio visual materials.
Cultural activities are organized by the school staff each week during the afternoon to make the language course even more interesting and enoyable: special lessons about cinema, literature, conversation, writing and many other subjects as well as a cultural activity choosen among guided tours, museums, cinemas, cooking, wine tasting and others according also to the cultural programs offered by Turin and Piedmont during the course period.
