Kielikurssin kuvaus

Our General English courses are designed to give you the English language skills to live, work, study and travel in an English-speaking environment.

We offer group English language courses to international students from Elementary level (CEF A1) to Advanced level (CEF C2).

Learn English in small groups of 15 students maximum.

The daily General English lessons covers all of the English language skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing with an emphasis on speaking and listening. The main focus of the General English courses is on communication skills in real life settings.

Our syllabus is task-based, with students carrying out tasks in class to provide you with the necessary skills to manage using the English language in real-life situations. 

We also aim to make the syllabus student-centered, placing the emphasis on your training, enabling you to become more independent and provide you with practical skills to apply to your ongoing language learning when you finish your course. 

We have stated objectives and weekly targeted learning outcomes which are 
achievable and measurable.

Your teachers will monitor your progress throughout your course and you will receive regular feedback and advice.

Course books, workbooks and supplementary material including authentic materials such as newspaper articles newspapers, DVDs, the Internet, books and other media are utilized by the teacher to meet the language needs of all the individuals in the class.

Kououn kuvaus

ACELS tunnusti englanninkielisen koulun Corkin kaupungin historiallisessa sydämessä.
Jokainen osa Corkin englantilaisen akatemian vierailustasi on otettu huomioon.

Cork English Academy tunnustetaan englannin kielipalvelujen akkreditoinnilla ja koordinoinnilla (Quality and Qualifications Ireland, QQI). Nämä ovat kansallisia elimiä, jotka vastaavat englanninkielisten opetusorganisaatioiden kehittämisestä ja hallinnoinnista.

Englannin kielikoulun henkilökunta:

Corkin englannin akatemian tiimin jäsen sitoutuu tehtäviinsä opetuksen, rekisteröinnin, majoituksen, sosiaalisen ohjelman, hallinnon ja markkinoinnin aloilla.

Opettajamme ovat korkeakoulututkinnon suorittaneita, joilla on erityinen pätevyys opettaa englantia vieraana kielenä. Monilla opetushenkilöstön jäsenillä on laaja akateeminen kokemus, johon kuuluu vuosien opetus Irlannissa ja muissa maissa.

Koulun sijainti

Cork English Academy sijaitsee kaupungin keskustassa, alle viiden minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Patrickin kadulta, pääkaupungin keskustan ostoskadulta. Koulu sijaitsee samalla puolella kaupunkia kuin University College Cork ja Cork Institute of Technology, mutta jopa lähempänä keskustaa. Breakfast and evening meal are provided Monday to Friday and Breakfast, lunch and evening meal on Saturday and Sunday.

Most family homes are located just outside the city centre and so you may need to take public transport to and from the school. Average distance between the school and host families is 30 minutes.

Transfers to and from Cork airport on your arrival and departure are also included.

-Host family stays are based on a Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday booking only.

-Host Family return transfer from either Cork Airport or Aircoach bus stop on Patrick’s Quay is available to students arriving between 08.00 and 00.00.

Cork English Academy has partnered with Viva Ireland an experienced accommodation provider in Cork to offer you accommodation on arrival.

Usually students staying with us short term (for 2 to 12 weeks) book all accommodation through the school.

Students who plan on staying more long term usually book 2 to 4 weeks accommodation through the school and then search for their own accommodation when more familiar with the city.

Shared Apartments:
